A BESPOKE SERVICE, WITH CLEAR BOUNDARIES
The Stomp Cats Custom Shop draws on a selection of existing, well-documented circuits, chosen to suit the sound you are looking for and then validated during the build. The aim is not to design an entirely new electronic circuit from scratch, but to create a unique pedal using one of these reliable starting points, with tailored options and artwork of its own.
Every project is subject to a feasibility review.
What types of effects are available?
Overdrive, distortion, fuzz, boost, compression and analogue modulation effects.
What are the technical limitations?
All Stomp Cats Custom Shop pedals are built in a compact 125B enclosure (120 × 65 × 40 mm). The circuit and all selected options must fit reliably within this format.
The Custom Shop does not cover the design of entirely original circuits, complex digital processing, MIDI or multi-effects units.
How is the artwork created?
You share your ideas, preferred colours and visual references with me. I interpret them through the Stomp Cats visual language to create original artwork that suits your pedal. The black enclosure and colour-coded washers identifying the input and output remain part of the Stomp Cats signature.
I then send you an initial design, which we refine together before final approval.
How much should I budget?
Prices start at €235. Each project is quoted individually according to the circuit, components, options and graphic design work involved.
A deposit is required once the project and quote have been approved.
To preserve the handcrafted nature of the service, I can complete no more than two Custom Shop projects per month.
